The client’s business was growing at a fast rate and they needed a website that would work hard for them so they could direct people to their website to find out more information on a property.

We built the website fully around the client’s needs making it very easy for them to update. The client creates a property from within the bespoke admin panel with all the properties details and then uploads the pictures. The website creates a moving slide show of the property from the pictures that are uploaded. There is an advanced PDF feature in the website where the system will automatically generate a PDF from the information that has been inputted and uploaded, making it easy for a prospective client to download the property details for further investigation.

The website contains an advanced search facility, so any visitors to the website can find any property they may be interested in fairly quickly, giving this website a very nice and friendly user experience.

The website also has built in stats, telling the client exactly what’s happening on their website, what properties people viewed, how many time a property has been view etc.. We have also built the website very closely with our in house search engine optimisation specialist ensuring that all the properties uploaded receive the maximum amount of exposure from standard SEO.

After receiving a one hour training session, the client was very happy at how easy it was to update and maintain their website. The client has already had another three websites designed by ourselves.

We initially converted the website from a brochure website into a CMS website, which allowed Lorraine to make alterations to the site, rather than having to contact a web developer to do a change every time she needed one. We then went on to build a strong relationship with Lorraine and she then decided to give her website a full overhaul at the start of 2012.

We came up with some fresh, exciting and visually enticing ideas that we felt would breathe new life into Lorraine’s website and give it a more modern look. Lorraine is delighted with the outcome and is now considering running an email marketing campaign with us also.

Last week was a very important milestone for the Internet.

The 10 millionth .uk domain name was registered with Nominet.

The 10 millionth web address ending in .uk has been claimed by the founder of Hampshire-based firm, SN Technologies.

Nominet took charge of the top-level domain name in 1996 when there were 26,000 .uk sites. Nominet described the news as a “mega-milestone”.

UK HAS MOST INTERNET BASED ECONOMY

On another good note for the UK and the internet, the UK is the “most internet-based major economy”. The “internet economy” was worth £121bn in 2010, more than £2,000 per person, researchers at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) said.

The United Kingdom also does far more retail online than any other major economy.

Some 13.5% of all purchases were done over the internet in 2010, according to BCG, and this is projected to rise to 23% by 2016.

BCG said that the overall UK website economy is particularly fast-growing.

They predict it will continue to expand at a rate of 11% per year for the next four years, reaching a total value of £221bn by 2016.

This is extremely good news for anyone that has a good online presence or sells products online.

So what’s my initial first thoughts. I have been an avid Apple fan for many years having first used old Apple Mac SE30’s before most people had even heard of Apple. We use Apple computers every day for our design work and I have to say that Apple products just work. You get many people that complain about Apple locking things down and not making things accessible to the masses, but in our industry reliability counts massively. If you have a PC or a non apple phone, I think it’s fair to say that we have all experienced a crash of some sort. Well Apple products are built specifically not to do this. Our main Apple office computers to my knowledge have never missed a heart beat.

Anyway back to the new iPad. In the office we have a 1st generation iPad that we put to good use by displaying our products and services to potential clients with myself taking the iPad home at weekends to be a large controller for my home media system and also the odd game of poker. So I was thinking about getting the New iPad as my primary browsing machine. More and more often we are finding that our smart phones are just as easy to get information from the internet without the need of sparking up your PC that’s gathering dust. My main reason for purchasing the New iPad is mainly because my eyes seem to be constantly sore using my small iPhone 4s as my main browser.

It has to be said I was eagerly waiting for the iPhone 5 to come out, only to find out that Apple only released an iPhone 4s. I was getting excited about some new tech in there like NFC (Near field communication) so I can hopefully get rid of my wallet for every day use and free up some spare pocket space. So you can imagine how deflated I felt when the 4s was released. This brings me on to the New iPad, it seems to me as if Apple are just releasing products to basically stay just ahead of the competition rather than trying to reinvent the wheel with a revolutionary product like the 1st generation iPhone. To me the New iPad seems to be along the same kind of lines, yes sure they’ve put a few new things in there, but it seems to be more of a refining process. So even although I’m buying the New iPad I am reserving my judgement on the new features. Off course no New iPad would be complete without the new Apple TV 3 in full 1080p mode, so Apple seem to have all purchasing bases covered to squeeze that little extra out you. That said, Apple TV connects seamlessly with your apple products and will wow your friends.

I think I have just summed up Apples’ main business plan. People that want the best and the newest will always buy their products no matter what’s in them and this in turn makes the older generation products more affordable to get people on the Apple IOS platform and more importantly, signed up to their App store.

Marco was just about to complete the build of a very special Fish and Chip shop project in Irvine. Marco had no expense spared when completely renovating the previous building into a spectacular Fish and Chip Shop.

Nothing was overlooked and we have to agree after seeing his premises, this really is one special Fast Food Takeaway Fish and Chip Shop. So we were absolutely delighted when Marco chose us to build his new website that would showcase his superior shop.

Marco wants nothing but the best, which makes the fact he chose us to build his website and create his brand even more special.

Since the website build we have also worked closely with Marco to produce further work on various point of sale material.

Everything was completed by us, including his new logo which had proudly been placed throughout his shop signage. Both Marco and ourselves are very happy with the end results and I’m sure you’ll agree, this really is one special Fish and Chip Shop with a website to match.

We launched an SEO campaign for Jackie to try to promote the variety of services that she has on offer, but that she felt people didn’t know she specialised in. We also took her previous website and completely re-skinned the site to give it a fresh, vibrant and exciting new look.

Jackie was really pleased with how the website turned out and is already seeing the results from the SEO campaign which hasn’t long started. This site allows Jackie to update it herself as often as she wishes, allowing her to promote any special offers she may be running.
